北京大学新结构经济学研究院是中国第一个以社会科学自主理论创新为宗旨的机构†由世界银行前首席经济学家兼高级副行长林毅夫教授创办于 2015 年 12 月，系国家首批高端智库试点单位之一。新结构经济学研究院立足于中国及其它发展中国家的发展经验，进行自主理论创新，通过推广和深化新结构经济学理论体系的科研创新、学科建设和政策实践，提倡“因行得知，用知践行，唯成证知，知成一体”理念，旨在建成引领新发展思潮，推动现代经济学结构革命的一流的教育基地、学术研究中心和旗舰型智库机构。

The Institute of New Structural Economics at Peking University is the first institution in China dedicated to autonomous theoretical innovation in social sciences. It was established in December 2015 by Professor Justin Yifu Lin, a former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank. In addition, it is among the first high-level think tank pilot institutions approved by the government. The institute builds on the development experiences of China and other developing countries to innovate new theories and promote and deepen the research and application of New Structural Economics. It advocates the principle of "seeking knowledge from practice, guiding practice with knowledge, validating knowledge through achievements, and integrating knowledge and achievement." The institute aims to become a world-class educational base, academic research center, and flagship think tank driving the structural revolution in modern economics.
