北京大学国际传播研究院成立于2015年4月。作为中国特色新型智库建设进程中的重要探索，北京大学国家战略传播研究院的筹建和发展得到了中央领导的批示以及教育部和北京大学的鼎力支持。该院致力于现代国家信息和传播治理问题的研究，其主要研究和咨询领域涉及国际传播、公共外交、地方政府的传播治理、企业国际化进程中的传播战略、互联网治理和传媒产业政策等。受各部委委托，该院做了大量涉及国内外重要事件的舆情研判。

The Institute of International Communication at Peking University was established in April 2015 as a significant initiative in the development of a new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics. Its establishment and growth have received direct guidance from central leaders, along with significant support from the Ministry of Education and Peking University. The institute is dedicated to studying modern national information and communication governance. Its focus areas include international communication, public diplomacy, communication governance by local governments, corporate communication strategies during internationalization, internet governance, and media industry policies. It has also undertaken numerous critical projects commissioned by different ministries and commissions. These projects provide public opinion analysis for major domestic and international events.
